Stephen King has been described by the Guardian as 'one of the
great storytellers of our time', by the Mirror as a 'genius' and by
The Sunday Times as 'one of the most fertile storytellers of the
modern novel'.
He knows how to write stories that suck you in and are impossible
to put down. The New York Times describes it as a 'relentless tidal
pull' and he has done it time and time again with stories like The
Shawshank Redemption, Misery and The Green Mile.
Stephen King has written over fifty books, including Cell and The
Stand. He is the recipient of the 2003 National Book Foundation
Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters and was
voted Grand Master in the 2007 Edgar Allen Poe awards. He lives
with his wife, novelist Tabitha King, in Maine, USA.
